Maths geeks, I am having a very difficult time with my math prep on Basic Math. I was of the opinion that this would be very simple and hence didn’t care to check till now. When I sat down to work on the problems today, I found it to be really challenging. Kids can’t seem to think of anything beyond tutoring. Why don’t you try something yourself? There are numerous resources for prentice hall pre algebra for 6th graders which are a lot better than tutoring. Try Algebrator, and you will never need a tutor.

I remember having problems with solving inequalities, complex fractions and factoring expressions. Algebrator is a really great piece of math software. I have used it through several math classes - Basic Math, Pre Algebra and Basic Math. I would simply type in the problem from a workbook and by clicking on Solve, step by step solution would appear. The program is highly recommended.
