Hi math wizards! I am about halfway through the semester, and getting a bit worried about my course work. I just don’t seem to pick up the stuff I am learning, especially things to do with factoring expression in daily life. Could somebody out there please give me some advice with side-angle-side similarity, adding numerators and cramer’s rule. I can’t afford to look for a tutor, but if anyone knows about other ways of improving topics like exponential equations or scientific notation without fuss, please let me know Thanks |

What exactly don't you understand about factoring expression in daily life? I recall having problem with the same thing in Pre Algebra, so I might be able to give you some suggestions on how to approach such problems. However if you want help with algebra on a long term basis, then you should get Algebrator, that's what I did in my Remedial Algebra, and I have to say it's amazing! It's much cheaper than a private teacher and you can work with it anytime you want. It's very easy to use it, even if you never ever used a similar software. I would advise you to buy it as soon as you can and forget about getting a math tutor. You won't regret it! |

Thanks for the suggestion. Algebrator is actually a great math software. I was able to get answers to queries I had about trinomials, mixed numbers and absolute values. You only need to type in a problem, click on Solve and you get the all the solutions you need. You can use it for any number of algebra things, like Algebra 1, College Algebra and Pre Algebra. I think everyone should use Algebrator. |

Algebrator is the program that I have used through several algebra classes - Remedial Algebra, College Algebra and Pre Algebra. It is a truly a great piece of algebra software. I remember of going through difficulties with syntehtic division, function domain and evaluating formulas. I would simply type in a problem homework, click on Solve – and step by step solution to my algebra homework. I highly recommend the program. |
