solving third order polynomial using method of substitution

I just discovered that I am already late in dealing with some issues with solving third order polynomial using method of substitution. I had kept it on hold hoping that I will find first class learning material or someone who can lend a hand with binomial formula, graphing function and reducing fractions. May be, I did not explore hard enough. But at present I am running late. It is simply not easy to locate a first-rate coach to quickly train me. It is beyond what I can give. And I need to find a fast way out. Can anybody who has had similar problems advice me as to what I can do? It will be a great help.
